1982

The Kaleidoscope season continued from 1st -4th with "Seaside Postcard" by Terrence Frisby directed by Chris King and "Let's Murder Vivaldi" by David Mercer directed by Robert Hedden and 8th - 11th "bodies" by James Saunders, directed by Vince Oliver.

On 15th casting readings were held for the October production (not named) and on 20th & 22nd for "An Italian Straw Hat" to be directed by Jill Clarke in the Bell Theatre in November.

The minutes for both AGMs were published.

A "Salute to Summer Party" was held in the Members' Club admission £1 members £2 guests with punch and picnic provided. On the 24th a night of film extracts and oddities was held.

A report of our play at the NATHDA festival was published.

Due to typewriter problems the issue was difficult to read in places an apology was included (Hand-written).

1987

The Bell Theatre show from 5th -11th was "The Happiest Days of your Life" by John Dighton, directed by Les Lidyard.

On 24th & 25th Prompt Corner presented "Reflections" a series of one act plays by various dramatists acted by the Senior Drama Class.

Auditions were held for "The Farndale Avenue Townswomen's Guilds Dramatic Society's Production of Macbeth" byDavid McGillivray & Walter Zerlin Jnr. On 14th & 16th to be directed in the Bell Theatre by Alan Buckman in November/December. Also for "The Comedy of Errors" on 28th & 30 for Prompt Corner in October to be directed by PipPiacention.

Due to the previous one being in rather cold conditions the "Summer Roof Garden Barbecue" was scheduled for 18th. There was a report of the LTG Southern Region Conference on the theme of pantomime.

1992

THE Bell Theatre show from 7th - 11th was "Waitnig for Godot" by Samuel Beckett. Directed by Ron Sales, this featured Brian Geary, John Hartnett, Robert Reid, Simon Phillips and Nathan Moughtin. The Tel Aviv Community Theatre presented "Teibele and her Demon" in the Bell Theatre, though in Israel they are a member of the LTG.

Auditions were held by Jill Clarke on 14th, 15th & 19th for "The Merry Wives of Windsor" for the Bell Theatre in October/November. (our 25th anniversary production).

The annual Film Quiz was held on 18th hosted by Stephen Pitt assisted by Pip Piacentino and Malcolm Woodman.

1997

THE Bell Theatre show from 6th - 12th was "A Midsummer Night's Dream" directed by John Mead. This featured John Lyne, Ruth Shettle, Su Hands, Helen Chadney, James Newall, Bob Reid, Alastair Hedderman, Natasha Dobie, Caron Montgomery, Tom Sampson, Mike Ainsworth, Andy Catto, Neil Husbandm Jeff Dove, Karen Williamson, Andrew Chadney, Chris Parham, Jill Davies, Peter Medd, Linda East, Faye Hamilton, Emma Saunders Billy Colville and Kait Feeney. The Prompt Corner show had a cast of 14 (not mentioned by name in SCENE) for "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, directed by Sally Crane from 18th - 20th.

The delayed Members' Club AGM took place on 17th. The minutes of its EGM and those of the SLTC Ltd. AGM were published.

Auditions were held by Pam Jarvis on 23rd & 25th for "The Children's Hour" by Lillian Hellman to be performed in the Bell Theatre in October.

No social events were advertised.
