CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

Its that time again! Were looking for proposals for directors and shows in both spaces for 2003. Theres a genuine feeling of excitement and enthusiasm at the moment, which we all want to ensure results in a terrific new season. Well be writing to everyone who has expressed an interest in directing, but if you dont receive a letter or if you have a great idea for a play which you dont want to direct, but which you think it would be good for SLT to present please either write to us, following the process below, or submit via On-line submissions.

Because of the work of the old committees, it also looks as though there may be greater competition for slots than there has been for a while which is good news! Consequently, we need to ensure that the planning process is as equitable and transparent as possible, which is why wed like to ask for a bit more detail in submissions than in the past. Please dont worry if you havent thought about everything yet! There will be lots of support from ourselves and the General Stage Management team to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Wed also like to encourage potential directors to talk to us about their projects do contact us at Theatre Committee

PROMPT AND BELL

Although the two teams are working closely together in the planning, and support, of the season, its worth remembering that the spaces are very different. The Bell is a proscenium arch theatre, which can accommodate larger casts. Prompt is a flexible space, encouraging inventive staging and intimacy its also the space where new directors can have a go! Be sure that you choose the right space for the project!

Because competition will be greater, so we must more transparent. The deadline for receipt of submissions is Friday 2nd August. Offers will be made in writing, and must be formally accepted in writing by Friday 23rd August. If you arent going to be around during that time please let us know!
